As COVID-19 continues to impact both locally and globally, it is appropriate to let you know what CAST will be doing to ensure we play our part.

At the time of writing, Governments in every country we operate in have advised social distancing, limiting gatherings, and limiting travel. These are part of a raft of measures that we fully support. Everything we do will be in furtherance of Government policy, and in direct support of each Government’s own continuity plans.

The safety of our staff and customers is paramount. In close consultation with all our customers, I have today asked all staff to work from home until further notice. Where shared spaces are required to comply with customers’ COVID-19 policies, social distancing measures and enhanced hygiene practices are to be followed diligently.

Our work from home policies include the following:

  • We will ensure our people have the required space, equipment, technology and software to continue working in the same way we do when together, and at client sites.
  • We will have high speed network connections to support hi-res video meetings with Zoom, using Skype as backup.
  • We will maintain access to the hardened networks required for some of our work in strict accordance with the policies and guidelines governing access to those resources. All staff have been asked today to review those policies again to ensure ongoing compliance.

To ensure continuity and ease of working across our various program and project teams, we will put in place regular updates and online meetings in addition to those we use routinely. Working remotely is likely to become the new normal in the coming days and weeks and we understand that it may present challenges to employees and customers alike. We will work with you to ensure it is as smooth as possible and that we remain productive and communicative as a team – as we have always been.

If you would like to discuss any of the above with me, I am always available and happy to address any concerns you may have. In the meantime, all of us here at CAST want to wish you the best of health during this difficult time.
